Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

About

The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is an sub-department of the Department of Social Anthropology at the University of Cambridge. This forms part of the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The museum reports to a Museum Committee drawn from across the University and appointed by the Faculty Board of Human, Social, and Political Science, which meets once a term.

The Museum is one of eight accredited University of Cambridge Museums and Collections. Together, these institutions form a partnership: University of Cambridge Museums (UCM). In April 2012 the UCM were awarded Major Partner Museum Funding from Arts Council England for 2012 – 15 to support our ambitious Connecting Collections programme. In July 2014 we were delighted to hear that Arts Council England awarded the University of Cambridge Museums further Major Partner Museum Funding for 2015 – 18.
