Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

If you own or have found (in England or Wales) an object which may be over 300 years old, it can be identified and recorded by the Portable Antiquities Scheme. You should contact the Finds Liaison Officer for the area in which you found the object. Some finds may fall under the Treasure Act 1996 and so legally must be reported. Further details can be found on the Scheme’s website.

Two million years of human history. One million artefacts. Countless astonishing stories.
