Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology

Nora has a background in Classical Studies and Social Anthropology and most recently graduated from Durham University with an MA in Museum Studies.  Her research focused on the ways in which museums in the UK are decolonising their North American collections.  She also completed internships at the Staatliche Antikensammlungen and Glyptothek in Munich and the Ethnological Museum in Berlin.  Prior to joining the MAA, Nora worked as a Collection Technician at the River and Rowing Museum in Henley, where she conducted preventive conservation work and assisted in exhibition installation.  In her current role, Nora is working on the Stores Move Project, where she is documenting, photographing and packing collections ready for the move to the new Centre for Material Culture.
