About the event

Join us as we welcome archaeologist and TV presenter Raksha Dave (from Time Team and Digging for Britain) to celebrate her new children's book Lessons From Our Ancestors: Equality, Inclusivity and Sustainability in the Ancient World

The book takes young people on an unforgettable journey back through time as Raksha casts a spotlight on forgotten histories and misrepresented stories. Using 50 objects from around the world, this groundbreaking book offers a fresh perspective on our past to inspire you to build a better future.

Raksha will do a reading from the book, followed by a book signing. After this, attendees will have the opportunity to handle objects from the museum's collections and learn about the past in a hands-on way.

Copies of the book will be available to purchase in the museum shop.
