Museum Late for Teachers

Teachers! Visit the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology galleries after-hours to celebrate the end of term and find out how University of Cambridge Museums can help you deliver an exciting and creative curriculum- absolutely free! You will be able to see behind the scenes and objects that the public have not seen before/objects usually held behind closed doors, meet museum educators, explore the different ways the University of Cambridge Museums can support you and your students.

There will be food and drinks and plenty of time and space to unwind.

There will be different stations in MAA with:
- Handling objects.
- Meeting museum educators across the UCM.
- Learning how to teach with objects.
- Understanding how to use museum spaces for learning.
- Learning how to create lessons around or with objects.
- A bar and snacks will also be available.
Together, the eight University of Cambridge Museums and Botanic Garden represent the UK’s highest concentration of internationally important collections outside London. With more than five million works of art, artefacts, and specimens, the collections have supported nearly 300 years of investigation into the world around us.
The Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology has two million years of human history, one million artefacts, and countless amazing stories. Discover the earliest African stone tools, recent Cambridge archaeological finds, and tattoo instruments collected during Captain Cook's voyages to the Pacific.
