Sarah studied archaeology at Durham. She then went into Primary School teaching, and did her PGCE at Homerton College in Cambridge. Sarah has always kept one foot in the trench metaphorically, taking part in community digs and archaeology projects whenever possible. She has been the Assistant Curator at the volunteer run Ashwell Village Museum for the last twenty years. Sarah enjoys working with archaeological finds and organising community events and school visits. She is very much looking forward to continuing working with the community and schools in Cambridge, and helping to increase the range of events at the Centre for Material Culture.
