About
A Land Where Our Monuments Bloom brings together archival footage of LGBTQ+ pride movements from 1979 to the present alongside contemporary material, celebrating queer history, visibility, and community.
The film was developed by artist Alexander Augustus through the Artist in Residence programme for Cambridge Pride 2025 and is now being screened for the first time as part of this year’s Pride celebrations. Following the screening Alexander will be participating in a Q&A session which will be followed by refreshments and an opportunity to explore different aspects of the collections on display in the Museum galleries through a queer lens.
Places are limited, so booking is required. Tickets are free. Not able to attend in-person? We will also be live streaming the screening and Q&A session.
