Embroidery
Devil's Thumb Island, Greenland
A section of woman's clothing with embroidery in process of stitching. Small pieces of dyed leather create the embroidery stitches. Produced on a stretcher placed over the maker's knees.
Dalgety observes the women wearing "skirts, tummy band and anorak of cotton and native boots, white on red." (Dalgety, 15 June 1934)
