Domestic Life
The Inuit of Greenland in the 1930s lived in small communities of turf huts. Compared to the Inuit of Baffin Island and other parts of Canada, they maintained a less nomadic lifestyle and survived through farming and fishing. They continued to use many traditional tools, such as the women here using ulus (woman's knife) on animal skin.
