Heimen
Aberdeen, Scotland
The Heimen berthed at Aberdeen, dealing with last minute preparations. The ship was Norwegian but sailed under a British flag. Before the expedition left Aberdeen, Wordie expressed some concern over the logistics of having a Norwegian ship and crew for a British expedition. "I am anxious to find out if there will be any difficulty in changing over the ship which I am taking this summer from a Norwegian to a British flag." (Wordie 5 Feb 1934 Letter)
