Help
The main navigational tools for this website are located horizontally across the top of the screen and can be accessed wherever you are in the site.

In order to follow the expedition chronologically, select
Expedition and click on the dates in the timeline on the left of the screen. Each section relates to a time period and location (for example 4-25 June SW Greenland) and has subsections that explore areas of Inuit culture, life on the ship, etc. These subsections (for example Inuit Clothing) can be accessed in the timeline menu on the left of the screen. Selecting the icons below the text on each page will navigate to either these subsections or related objects, photographs or journal entries.

At the bottom of most pages there is a comments section where the visitor is invited to add information to the content of that page. To do so, enter your name and comment in the relevant text boxes provided, select the tick-box agreeing to museum policy and click 'Post comments'. Please note, all comments will be reviewed by museum staff before being posted.

Text colour indicates where you are in the website, and where you can go...
Black text indicates the section or subsection you are currently in.
Red text indicates the parent section of the one you are currently in.
Blue text indicates links to other sections and subsections.

rss feed icon Most pages in this website offer an RSS feed to the page's content. RSS (Rich Site Summary) feeds make viewing regularly changing content on web pages easy. Using RSS allows you to stay regularly informed when your chosen web pages are displaying new content without having to browse each page. How do you use RSS? To benefit from RSS you need a news reader. There are plenty of news readers available over the web, either as an online service or as software to install on your computer. To subscribe to any of the RSS feeds in this site, simply click on the 'comments feed' link in the left menu and copy the URL into the appropriate place in your chosen news reader to create a new feed. Some Internet browsers, such as Firefox or Safari, help you to link to news readers more easily.
