Sunday 18 October 1.30 pm – 2.30 pm

Explore the diversity of Ethiopia through the textures, sights, sounds and smells of the country.

This special, free workshop for children (part of Cambridge African Film Festival) provides a unique opportunity to experience the world of traditional games and arts and crafts in Ethiopia. Come along and make your own Gebeta (Mancala) game, using the colours of the Ethiopian flag, listen to Ethiopian music and learn how to dance Eskista.

Brought to you by Ethiopian Lideya Teshome and her husband Michael Thomas, this workshop offers the opportunity for everyone to learn about Ethiopia through games.

Suitable for children under 12 years of age. Children must be accompanied by an adult (only the child needs a ticket). Please arrive on time.
