MAA plays an active role in both research and the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Cambridge, particularly in relation to the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology.
MAA regularly hosts undergraduate practicals in archaeology, as well as from a number of other departments, and teaches master’s courses in both Archaeology and Anthropology. Curators from the museum are also involved in supervising PhD students.
We are also a research institution in our own right, receiving major research grants from the European Research Council, the Leverhulme Trust, the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Economic and Social Research Council.
We regularly host visiting researchers from all over the world, who would like to work with the collections as part of their research.
