In the centre of this mural is Bodong Chogle Namgyal (1375-1451), founder of the Bodongpa tradition. Surrounding this figure are the divine and worldly manifestations of the female reincarnation lineage of the Tantric Buddhist deity Dorje Phagmo. This lineage is unusual because most high-ranking Buddhist reincarnations involve men. The women are linked through the principle of Dorje Phagmo in her different corporeal manifestations
