Implantable demand isotopic pulse generator, with dummy nuclear power source. Implanted in the body and attached to the heart, this device supports or replaces the heart’s ‘natural pacemaker’, the sinoatrial node. It sends electrical impulses that cause the muscle to contract or ‘beat’.
