MAA 1949.127-8
Linga and his sister Lingi were the boy and girl Milward found most beautiful among the Chenchus she visited. They travelled on foot rhough the jungle with their families to pose for Milward. Linga had a 'beautiful solid face' and posed 'with an intentness of purpose and pride.' Lingi was terrified by the process of being modelled, and particularly the calipers Milward used to measure her head.
